DESCRIPTION:
The SAM® XT was developed to meet the demand for a tourniquet that reduces training error, increases application speed, and maintains consistent pressure on the limb. The TRUFORCE™ Buckle auto-locks when sufficient tension is applied—removing the guesswork and simplifying use in high-risk situations. This buckle technology also reduces the number of necessary windlass turns, saving precious seconds.
Once tightened, the reinforced windlass system stops the bleeding and is secured into the retaining clip. A hook-and-loop retention strap then locks everything in place while allowing responders to record time for medical tracking.
Tested in both military and civilian emergency environments, the SAM® XT is rapidly becoming a standard in modern trauma care.
