MT-PRO-GEN7™ Ballistic Panel – Ultra-Thin NIJ Level IIIA Protection
The MT-PRO-GEN7™ ballistic panel represents the next generation of soft armor technology, developed to deliver an optimal balance of lightweight construction, reduced thickness, flexibility, and high ballistic performance. As the evolution of the MT-PRO™ platform, this advanced protective panel offers significantly improved ergonomics without compromising protection.
With an ultra-slim profile of only 8 mm, the MT-PRO-GEN7™ is approximately 25% thinner than the previous generation, allowing for improved mobility and comfort when integrated into tactical vests or concealable armor systems. The panel also features a low weight of just 4.8 kg/m², making it around 10% lighter than earlier models.
Despite its compact design, the panel delivers certified NIJ Level IIIA protection (NIJ 0101.06). Testing was conducted in an NIJ-accredited ballistic laboratory, where 56 samples successfully passed rigorous evaluation procedures to verify consistent ballistic performance.
Beyond standard handgun threats, the MT-PRO-GEN7™ soft armor panel is designed to stop a range of enhanced ballistic threats, including:
- 9×19 mm Ranger SXT
- 7.62×25 mm Tokarev
- 5.7×28 mm SS197
Additional special threat testing confirms resistance to a contact shot from 9 mm RUAG ACTION NP CN310 traveling at approximately 460 m/s, in accordance with VPAM BSW 2006 testing protocols.
The MT-PRO-GEN7™ also provides advanced stab resistance, offering protection against edged weapons. Testing according to NIJ Standard 0115.00 demonstrates the panel’s ability to stop:
- P1 knife threats (15 Joules, <20 mm penetration)
- S1 knife threats (36 Joules, <1 mm penetration)
